libgnomekbd8 software package provides GNOME library to manage keyboard configuration - shared library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgnomekbd8
libgnomekbd8 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgnomekbd8 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgnomekbd8 *
You will get with libgnomekbd8 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
